My name is Anne Malaythong. I am originally from Laos. My family immigrated to the United States, Oregon, in 1980. I grew up in Eugene, OR. I am the first in my family to graduate from a 4 year college. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a BS degree in Sociology. I also attended Lane Community College and NW Christian University.

My passion is helping others. I interned at Holt International Adoption Agency, volunteered at Nedco (provides financial education and both financial and housing counseling), volunteered at local middle schools, taught insurance classes at high schools and colleges. I was a guest speaker at the University of Oregon international student association. I believe in diversity and strongly support our LGBTQ community.

As an Oregonian, I love the outdoors and road trips around Oregon. My favorite place to camp is the Alvord desert in Oregon. The greatest place to star gaze with minimal light pollution.

I've been a State Farm agent since May 1, 2015 and worked in insurance since 2009. I was a loan officer for 5 years. I also managed and operated my family's restaurant for 10 years.

I have 2 amazing and smart children, Hailey and Ashley, and a very supportive partner of over 20 years, Kevin Koontz. We love road trips, rafting, sledding, and camping.

I am a proud graduate of Sheldon High School, where I gained a solid foundation of knowledge and skills. Throughout my professional journey, I have always found joy in working with and interacting with customers. Building meaningful connections and providing exceptional service to individuals has always been something that resonates deeply with me. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience in the fast-paced, customer-centric environment of the restaurant industry. This has honed my ability to handle challenging situations with attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork. These qualities have become integral to my approach in all aspects of my career.

Let me share a little glimpse of who I am outside of work. I am a thrill seeker with a passion for adventure. Snowboarding brings me a sense of peace and tranquility amidst the quiet mountains. The feeling of carving down a steep slope while being surrounded by breathtaking scenery is truly unparalleled. On the other hand, riding motorcycles ignites a sense of freedom and excitement within me. The open road, wind on my face, and the powerful rumble of the engine create an exhilarating experience. This hobby keeps me grounded and connected to my adventurous side.
